Swiss chicken wings

This is one of my favourite chicken dishes. It originates from Hong Kong, where the story goes that a foreigner mis-interpreted the waiter’s “sweet chicken” for “Swiss chicken”. So simple to make, and yet so delicious.

I’ve followed the recipe at http://en.christinesrecipes.com/2009/10/braised-sweet-soy-chicken-wings.html#.URc5tKXFV2I and it s quite good for taste. I use Amoy brand chicken marinate instead.

Cook the chicken wings in boiling water for approximately 1 minute, then cool in ice cold water. Cook with the marinate mix in a saucepan until done.

I always end up using almost half a bottle of marinate, so sometimes I save the marinate mix and freeze it for next time.
